If I create a recurring task in my Pro account, will my receptionist see it on a Free account?

MeisterTask Basic (Free) has everything you need for simple and fun task management, but it lacks many features needed in professional contexts. For this reason, the free Basic plan is mainly used by:

• Individuals who want to organize their personal to-dos.
• Students who need a free tool to stay on top of their assignments.
• Professionals who want to get a feeling for the tool before they upgrade.

According to my experience, optimizing your processes with powerful tools like MeisterTask will probably make your business grow, sooner than later. When growth happens, you will most likely wish to have a "business-grade" solution already in place.

My recommendation would be to get a Business account for each member in your team with access to MeisterTask (if business isn't viable, I'd choose Pro for each one, at least).

Why Get a Business Account?

Basic, Pro and Business users can all collaborate on shared projects. However, consider the following limitations:

You can't manage people outside your team account.

As an administrator, you can easily manage the licenses and rights of all team members, giving you complete control over everything that goes on in MeisterTask.

Team projects are only visible to team members.

If you're on our Business plan, you can make projects visible to your entire team in a simple way. These projects won't be visible to people outside your team.

Security restrictions are only available for teams. 👈 This one is important

As the administrator of a Business team you can restrict certain features to your team, such as the ability to share projects with people outside your organization. As these restrictions won't affect people outside your team, not upgrading could lead to potential security risks.

Separate billing creates more paperwork.

Individual users have to submit invoices separately. This creates unnecessary paperwork for a company. Forming a team means that all licenses will be billed collectively.

Basic users can only access 3 projects.

Basic users are limited to 3 projects with their account, effectively limiting collaboration within the team.

So, why just take a bite if you could have the whole enchilada?

In conclusion, a Business subscription of MeisterTask is the best option for teams who want to collaborate effectively and securely.

It provides administrators with complete control over their team members’ licenses, roles and rights while giving them access to powerful features such as security restrictions, custom fields, consolidated billing, and much more not available on Basic or Pro plans.
