    Hi all, I like the idea as well! Just wanted to also point out that this is somewhat possible via color-coded tags. It may not precisely be what you mean, @Pirochta, but internally at Meister, we use color-coded tags extensively, usually to denote task categories or prioritization:

    Personally - I find it super helpful to have some sort of color-coded category tags when using a traditional kanban board, since the columns refer to a stage of work and don't generally indicate a category.

    I am with Jörg, if you open a feature request, you've got my vote. And if you don't add another feature request to implement automation for color-coding a task, I will. Please just add a short Use-Case description to your request if possible. It makes it much easier for other community members to imagine similar use cases and may find supporters you more supporters.

    I too have had the need for this, and also have used the tags as substitution for this feature, but the issue for me is that the colored tag is not as large as if the entire task background was changed. In addition, adding the tag makes the size of the task larger, and expands the size of the list. I much prefer the compact size of the list without the tag. Where are we on this feature request?
