@Richard, you might also find another tip shared by @Matthias_Lass in our German-speaking community helpful:

You can use the filters sidebar and the select all keyboard shortcut (CTRL + A / Apple: Command + A) to immediately select all tasks that are currently filtered. @Matthias_Lass used this tip to immediately reassign all tasks assigned to a certain user!
