Exciting news! At the end of September, Meister received its first ISO 20071 certification. Here’s what you need to know about ISO 20071 and how you can communicate the news to your customers.

What is ISO 20071?

ISO 27001 is the most commonly-used international standard on information security management. As part of the certification process, third-party auditors check compliance with many security-relevant criteria: how data is managed, documentation for security topics, processes to mitigate security risks, and much more.

Becoming ISO 20071-certified means that Meister is compliant with all of the 114 security checks that were assessed. In an increasingly security-aware online environment, our ISO 20071 certification shows that Meister is committed to keeping users safe.

What does the certification mean for Meister Partners?

Over the coming weeks, we’ll be updating some key marketing assets, such as our website and sales collaterals, to explain the benefits of the certification in user-friendly terms. This will provide you with useful information you can share when promoting Meister tools.

In the meantime, you can still use Meister’s ISO certification as a selling point for our software. In your conversations with customers, you can mention the following important benefits that an ISO certification provides:

  • ISO 27001 provides peace of mind that sensitive data stored in the Meister tools will be kept safe.
  • The certification is renewed every year to ensure that we comply continuously with the strictest standards.
  • Unlike regional compliance certifications, such as GDPR, ISO 20071 is globally applicable.

We’re excited to hear your feedback and how the news about our ISO 20071 certification is received in your networks. Let us know if you have any questions about ISO or other security-relevant topics. You can find the certificate in the Partner Kit.
