Why can't I receive a project invite?

I am a Basic User and another Basic User has added me to their Team. I received the invite to the Team and accepted it. I am now in their Team. Next, the other Basic User has tried to invite me to a specific project, but I am not receiving the project invite and can't access it. I used to be part of the project but temporarily removed myself. I am only in one other project so haven't reached my max of 3. We have tried with a different Basic User account and the same thing happened. The Team invite worked fine but not the project invite.

Please can someone help me with this as it is now urgent. I've lost access to an important project! The project invites don't work.
