Incrementing task ID (per Project)

Similar to a lot of task/ticket systems, I wanna have an incrementing task/ticket-ID.

What?

Every task (maybe as optional feature) inside a project should have a unique (unique for this project) number. For a project, there should be an option, to prefix this incremeting task-number. For example:

• We have a project "General Tasks", so we prefix it with "GEN-". The first tasks gets the number "GEN-1", the second "GEN-2", etc.
• We have another project "New Product Planing", so we prefix it with "NEW-". The first tasks gets the number "NEW-1", the second "NEW-2", etc.

Why?

• As a developer, I want to reference tickets/tasks in git commits, in code documentations, etc.
• As an employee or contractor, I need to reference tasks in timesheets or invoices (for exmple "took me 5 hours = X€ for task 4711)
• As a team member, I want to reference a task in an easy and fast way in meetings ("as mentioned in task 4711, we want…").
