Subtasks Quick Filter

Would like the ability to use the subtask icon as a quick filter button. This would help reduce the clutter as the system does not group subtasks under their parents.

Clicking this button should instantly a filter that shows only the releated subtasks to the story.

Hi @Hein Beukes , thanks for this idea! Could you share a bit more detail? You said the system does not group subtasks under their parents. In an ideal world, what would that look like?

You also mentioned the clutter at the moment. Have you tried toggling of subtask in the board view? This might reduce the clutter you mentioned.

    Hi @Cornelia Patscheider

    > In an ideal world, what would that look like

    - Moving the parent moves the subtasks
    - Subtasks remain sequential under their parents and cannot be mixed with the subtasks of other tasks

    - Task 1
    - Task 1.1
    - Task 1.2
    - Task 1.2.1

    - Task 2
    - Task 2.1
    - Task 2.2
    - Task 2.2.1

And so on (likely not possible with the minimal space in each columb unless unpacked straight down with no indent)

This is mainly a problem when multiple people work on the same project board on different parent tasks, things get jumbled up real quick

Swimlanes would be nice, but with heavily nested tasks that would get real messy real quick

Work items are mostly subtasks, hiding them would mean I can't who's doing what on the board
