How can we restrict access to specific projects?

The administrator is not seeing the dialog to control who sees which projects and by default everyone is seeing everything. How can this be controlled so that users see only the projects assigned? As an example, he just went to the dialog for a project to allow access to only 2 people, but i can still see the project. And i am not admin. What is the source of this?

    Hi @Bob Covington,

I would recommend to look into the settings of private projects vs team projects.

"How can this be controlled so that users see only the projects assigned?"

    • It is up to the project administrator to regulate if the project is a private project or team project. If the project is a team project, then the project is accessible for all team members. It that case, the project admin can change it into a private project.
    • It is up to the project administrator to invite people and determine and change their roles and permissions.

I am not sure which admin you mean, so just for clarification: the team administrator is not able to see the project setting. Only the project administrator is able to see the task dialog with the sharing setting. The business owner has one profile and has created additional projects. I guess he would be both team and project administrator? When he invites anyone to a given project, that person has access to all projects. There has been difficulty changing back to private. I will get an update and see if it has been resolved.

The person who created the project is the project administrator of that project. So, yes, he should have the option to set the project from team project to private project.

Converting a team project to a private project is easy, here is a guide how to do it.
