"Your team has exceeded the free project limit"

Well, actually we have only one project with 4 invited members. Checked all the features of free plans and paid plans before adding our tasks and goals.

Now days later after expiring the free period, it keeps telling us "Your team has exceeded the free project limit". We have only 1 project with several tasks. It's a Team project, not private, we have none of the premium features in use and our project is now a captative of an forced upgrade.

Can someone from the officials help?

if your team has a basic subscription, then you and your team have only 3 project available. It sounds like someone in the team may have created private projects during your free trial. Now, that the trial is over, you only have 3 projects available and this includes all team and private projects. I would recommend archiving all private and team projects, excluding the 3 most important projects.
