Issue with Google Drive Integration in MeisterTask

I am experiencing an issue with attaching Google Drive files to tasks in MeisterTask. When I attempt to add an attachment to a created task and select Google Drive as the source, the Google account login screen appears. I complete the login process successfully, but then an error message is displayed:

Blocked App
An app attempted to access sensitive information in your Google account. To keep your account secure, Google has blocked the access.

I suspect that this issue is occurring because MeisterTask only requests login permissions for my Google account and does not request the necessary permissions for accessing Google Drive.

Could you please advise if there is a way to manually grant Google Drive access to MeisterTask? Alternatively, is there a method to ensure MeisterTask requests the required permissions for Google Drive during the integration process?

I’d appreciate it if you could provide guidance on resolving this issue. Let me know if there’s anything I need to adjust or check on my end.

Thank you for your time and support.

Best regards,

    Hi,

I am sorry that you are dealing with this issue. It seems like Google has very high security standards and does not recognize it as a secure app in your case.

I would recommend to search on the web how you can change the setting in your Google account to permit the access to the MeisterTask app.

Another option that you could try is to enable the 2-Factor-Authentication in MeisterTask. Maybe Google will recognize the MeisterTask app as more secure, if you have 2FA enabled.
