Updates: What’s New in MeisterTask (Feb 2025)

Hello dear community!

Are you already familiar with the latest features, improvements and changes? A lot has happened since the last update in September. As always, here is a brief summary of the latest developments:

What's new?

📱 Improved notifications in Android and iOS apps: The notification feature on mobile has been completely redesigned. Now all notifications for projects, tasks and – yes, finally – notes are bundled in one place. If someone leaves a comment in your note, the notification will pop up directly on your phone. (This feature will also soon be available on the web version, along with the new home page - see below.) → Learn more

📋 New list view: There is now a new project view, an alternative to the board view. The new list view allows you to organize and display tasks in project boards in a clear, easy-to-read list. This list view is perfect for those who prefer a simple, clean layout to the traditional Kanban board. → Learn more

🔍 Improved project filters: There's another improvement to be found in projects, namely the filter function. You can now close the right-hand filter sidebar without losing your applied filters. And you can share your filtered view with others. → Learn more

🌐 New – Live Pages: There is now a completely new feature in MeisterTask notes. In a note, you can publish a single page and share the link to it for easy viewing. A published page can be viewed by anyone with the link, without the need for a MeisterTask account. This feature makes it very easy to share information with other people. Published pages are not indexed by search engines and can only be accessed via the link.

⌚❌Watch app for iOS discontinued: The MeisterTask app for the Apple Watch has been discontinued due to low usage. We recommend using our iOS or Android mobile apps.

🆕 New logo: You may have already noticed, MeisterTask has a new logo and visual identity. → Learn more

What's next?

🏠 Coming soon - a new home screen, replacing the old dashboard: The old dashboard in MeisterTask will be replaced by a new home screen in the near future. If you'd like to have the new home screen now, you can sign up to be a beta user in the Community in this thread here. All users who use MeisterTask and express their interest in this thread will receive this new feature early. Not only will all beta users get priority access to the new feature, but they can also indirectly shape the development of the feature by providing feedback (--> provide feedback in this survey).

👥 Coming soon – changes to team management: We are working on an improvement to the way seats are managed in teams. If you want to be among the first to get access to this new feature, you are welcome to sign up for the waiting list. Just follow this link to our website. Scroll down to the section “Waiting list for role-based pricing”, click on “Sign up for the waiting list” and fill out the form.

Die Listenansicht ist bei mir extrem träge. Und kann man einstellen, dass die Aufgabenbeschreibung angezeigt wird, wie auch im Board-View?

Hallo @Daniel Roth , danke für die Rückmeldung. Bei der Listen-Ansicht ist es leider nicht möglich, dass die Aufgabenbeschreibung angezeigt wird.

Zwischen Listen- und Board-Ansicht gibt es paar kleine, weitere Unterschiede. Alle Infos dazu findet man hier.
