A colleague of mine deleted their access to MeisterTask without first granting admin rights to another team member. Is there a way to assign admin rights to a team member?

We would like to change some things in the project, but only the admin can change them.

    Hi @Sabine Metzger ,

do you want to change the roles on the team level? Or do you want to change the role on the project level?

I am guessing you want to change the role in the project, so I would recommend the following:

    1. Open the project settings.
    2. Check the list of project members and see who has the role "Content Manager" (=Inhaltsmanager:in in German). This user can manage everything in the project. This user can also appoint other users to the same role, so that they can also manage the project.
    3. Ask this person to give the role "Content Manager" to another person of your choice.

Every project has at least one Content Manager.

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.

The problem is that the person who could grant the rights no longer has access to the project. They have left the company.

Oh no… well it that case, I would recommend a workaround, so that someone else get's the Content Manager role:

    1. I would recommend getting in touch with your Team Admin. This is the person who is responsible for the whole team, and manages all licenses and billing.
    2. The Team Admin can downgrade the person who left your company. He can change the product license from "Content Manager" to —> "Viewer" in his account settings. Here is a guide how to do that.
      1. During this process the Team Admin will be informed, that all projects will need to get reassigned to a different person, so that a new user can manage all the projects that the person who left the company previously managed. This would solve your problem, as the project will then get a new Content Manager.

Let me know if you have any questions about this.
