Why can someone on the Basic plan not view my mind map? I'm on Personal

I have invited a person to view and edit my mind map. The person involved is a basic mind map member and my plan is personal. However, when he tries to open the mind map it will not let him, could anyone tell me what the problem might be.

    Hello @MCD welcome to the community

    Basic users can only have a total of three  maps in their My Maps area. If you are a paying user and you share a mind map with a Basic user who already has three maps, they will not be able to collaborate.

    How many maps does your friend have in the free account?
