Why do I keep getting "error 500" when I try to change my account email?

Hey

I tried to change my email account (3 times) but the link I received in the email has a 500 error...

So what can I do now? 😐️

    Hey,

    I just wanted to add the cause of the error 500 popup to this thread.

    One email address can be associated with one Meister account. The error 500 appears when you try to change the email address of your account to an email address that is already registered with another Meister account.

    To change your email address successfully:

    1. Close the account with which your "new" email address is associated. To do this, you can use this link. Note: that account's data will be deleted upon account closure.
    2. Update the email address in your account to the now free (unassociated) email address with the help of this article.

    We know the current error 500 message isn't as clear as it could be and will update it.

    Hallo zusammen,
    ich kann meine Mailadresse nicht ändern. Es kommt die Bestätigungsmail und wenn ich die dann bestätige kommt eine Fehlermeldung (siehe Anhang). Wer kann helfen?

    Wir haben derzeit einen aktiven Bug, der dieses Problem verursacht - ich habe deine Anfrage an unser Support-Team weitergeleitet, das deine E-Mail so schnell wie möglich ändern wird!
