Is it possible to connect multiple tasks (for MeisterTask) to one topic in MindMeister?

Hi everyone!

Is it possible to connect multiple tasks (for MeisterTask) to one element in MindMeister? I've tried but failed. It would be useful not to produce lots of small tasks in the Map but to group them in one element.

If it is currently not possible, does anyone else need such possibility? :) We could ask the developers to introduce such feature.

You can easily add as many tasks from MeisterTask to a topic in MindMeister as you need. To do so, you need to open the related task in MeisterTask, click on the three dots (More…) in the upper right corner of the task and then choose "Copy Link":

Now you can go to the desired mind map, choose the topic you want the links to be shown and insert a notice:

In the text window you have the option to insert formatted text.

Have a look at the "how to" and you'll find the related explanation in your language:

Result:

You can insert as many task-links as you want by repeating the steps and by inserting the related task-links. The desired tasks will each open in a new window.

Quick tip:

If you often need to insert task-links into mind maps, you may have a look at free software for text automation. This way you can insert the related markup with a shortcut and customise it to your individual needs. This way, inserting task-links is a workflow of seconds.

This is a solution, though from the other side: first you have to start the tasks from MeisterTask.

I wonder if you can easily start multible tasks from MindMeister (added red circle to your picture):

It would be a great automation, because the path from MeisterTask back to MindMeister takes a lot more time and work, even if I find the software you mentioned (maybe you can give an example, please?) :)

I do absolutely understand your wish for a feature like that. Maybe you try to write the request for it. Another idea could be a "master-task" and then to work with task relationships. This way you only have to insert the one task-link and can then see all other related "sub-tasks" of the "master-task" 😋

You may google "TBDeluxe Editor" for nice shortcut features.
