Why are the students I've shared my maps with getting View only message?

For several years, I’ve created maps and made them shareable with my students. Now, they are getting a View only message when they try to edit. What’s happening?

    Please click on the sharing settings as shown here:

    And check that you have Can edit enabled:

    If you already have these settings but are struggling anyway, please let me know!

    Those are my settings and have been for some time. This is something new that is converting my students (including those with paid plans) to a view only status

    Hey Jackson,

    Sorry about this. I will investigate it for you.

    Could you please confirm that on the mind map you are trying to share currently, the sharing settings are on 'Can edit'?

    With the latest release, the default setting for map sharing is 'Can view' so this might be why you're now struggling.

    I have several hundred mind maps. I have to go through and manually change all of them back to 'can edit'

    That's strange. This setting should only be different for maps you change from now on…

    Please could you DM me the name of an old mind map for which these settings have changed? Our devs are ready to look into it.
