Request to change e-mail link fails with ERROR-500

I have requested my e-mail to be changed to a new e-mail. I have received the e-mail with the confirmation link. When clicking on the "Activate Account" I get the "500 - Oh no - something went wrong".

There is no obvious easy way to report this error.

    I just wanted to add the cause of the error 500 popup to this thread.

    One email address can be associated with one Meister account. The error 500 appears when you try to change the email address of your account to an email address that is already registered with another Meister account.

    To change your email address successfully:

    1. Close the account with which your "new" email address is associated. To do this, you can use this link. Note: that account's data will be deleted upon account closure.
    2. Update the email address in your account to the now free (unassociated) email address with the help of this article.

    Aha! That made sense. I can't even remember when I created the old account.

    Followed the instructions and all is well now.

    Thank you for letting me know what caused the error.
