Resize and remove YouTube videos

After the update, I can't change the size of Youtube videos displayed in the mindmap and I can't delete videos. Any ideas on how to do this in the new editor? Thanks in advance!

I have found a workaround. One can upload a picture, which then replaces the video, and then delete the picture. But surely there should be a much better way. Please bring back the old editor.

Thanks for reaching out, I am very sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue. I would recommend contacting Meister's Support Team and explain the issue in detail.

When you contact support, it'd be great to include as much information as possible:

• include which account and mind maps are affected
• Please enable access to your account. You can find a guide how to do this here: How to- Enable Access 
• Please send a screenshot or video with the developer console open. To open the developer console in Google Chrome, open the Chrome Menu in the upper-right-hand corner of the browser window and select More Tools > Developer Tools. You can also use Option + ⌘ + J (on macOS), or Shift + CTRL + J (on Windows/Linux).

With the new editor you seem to have removed the ability to add a link to a YouTube video.

This is a big issues

Is there a work around, or is this a feature that is coming?

thanks for the reaching out. @Gilles Bouche already pointed out this issue previously and I could also reproduce it. You can add a YouTube link by copy&pasting the link to the topic, but it is hard to remove the video. I reached out internally to the responsible team at MindMeister and reported it.

For now, I would recommend Gilles workaround that he posted above. I will keep this thread updated if I hear any news from the MindMeister team about this specific issue.

the MindMeister team is currently reworking how to share a link and how the embedding works. This also includes how YouTube videos will show in the mind map. In the future, it will be easier to embed the videos. At the moment, I don't have any more details to share, but if I hear any updates in the upcoming weeks, I let you know.

Hi Gilles, no as far as I can see, resizing the video thumbnail is not possible.
