PRO account - concurrent editing from two different computers (two different browsers)

I have the PRO account but don't seem to be able to do the following:

  • have two different computers (two different browsers) open the same MM map and
  • edit at the same time and
  • have the other MM session being updated in a real-time with edits made on the other computer (MM session)

Should not this be working for a PRO account?

    Hi,

    It is possible to collaborate in real-time regardless of plan.

    Are you logged in on both with the same account? This might be why the view is different. It should work well with other colleagues/ accounts.

    Best,

    Miša

    Yes, I am logged in to both sessions with the same account.

    Are there any workarounds to this scenario (for the outlined problem)?

    Could you share the ultimate goal? Maybe I'll be able to think of something.

    I am using different computers at different point of time during the day:

    • at work
    • in the lab (at work)
    • at home
    • etc.

    I have active MindMeister sessions (through different browsers instances) on different computers.

    In the current scenario, I need to refresh the browser MindMeister session manually to get the updates executed earlier in the day (on a different computer).

    I would expect the changes implemented to one MM session to be available 'immediately' to other computers (which have that MM session open).
    Isn't this how the collaborative MindMeister framework works inherently:

    • user A makes changes to the MM map, and the change is visible to user B (who could be making updates to the same MM map on a different computer) immediately without user B need to manually refresh his/hers browser session;

    Hi,

    The following is correct:

    • user A makes changes to the MM map, and the change is visible to user B (who could be making updates to the same MM map on a different computer) immediately without user B need to manually refresh his/hers browser session;

    The issue with your use case is that we're talking about User A and User A, not two different users.

    Would it be disruptive to your workflow to close the map on one laptop before you go and use the other?

    Closing the MM browser tab is more disruptive than the manual refresh.

    This is the reality - I am moving between different environmetns frequently throughout the day - the work and the lab.
    An MM map is open on all of these computers.

    Changes done in one environment (on one computer' MM session) are not visible to the other one unless the manul browser refresh.

    As you noticed, the same user (user A), is using the session on both of these.
    It would be really awesome if MindMeister development team would implement the change (to their engine) to support outlined use case. :)

    THanks for the extra information. I think it'd be best for you to submit a feature request in the community for our product team to take a look.

    At the moment what you described isn't possible.

    Have a great evening!
