Blue square icon that fills in when clicked until you get a checkmark

I am being drug, kicking and screaming, to the new editor. I use most of my maps as checklists for differing legal scenarios. On almost every node, I include one of the blue box icons that fills in each quarter of the box as it is clicked, until with 4 clicks you get a check mark. I cannot find that this or something similar is offered in the new editor. Am I missing it or is there another option to keep track of completed or partially completed tasks?

PS - to me it seems that with the new editor MM has chosen style over substance

The integration is available to all users, even on free Basic plans so you could trial this with a free MeisterTask account.

A free MeisterTask account is limited to three projects. However, you can use as many tasks as you want within those projects so it shouldn't limit you.

Hi Alan,

You can track completed items in your mind map using the MeisterTask integration. With this, it's possible to turn each mind map topic into a task. From within MindMeister, you'll be able to see who the task is assigned to, its due date and whether it is or isn't completed.

Thank you for your response. MeisterTask seems like overkill for someone who works alone. Also would require another monthly subscription. This disappoints me greatly.
