Is it possible to have more main topics at the same mindmap?

Hello everyone. I recently bought the Pro Version, but I'm having some issues with the platform.

For starters, can I have more than one main topic in the one map? Looking it right now, looks like it's not possible. See the image below.

The "second topic" I created using "Add Floating Topic" option in the right side, and although I can change some things, like font size and theme color, when I try to add a "child" or "sibling" topic, the trails stay only in one color, and they show up in the left side of the box, and not the right side.

Even if it is possible to manually change the colors of the lines, it takes a lot of time doing so, and it's counterintuitive since the goal of a mindmap is to be easy and fast learning method.

I want to make one big mindmap for one single subject (in this example, I'm taking mentorship classes), and creating many "main topics" as I want (filtered by dates), so it's easy to find the stuff instead of opening maps one by one and needing to search every single one the one thing I need.

    Hi João,

it seems like you are working already very proficiently with MindMeister :)

Here are a few answers and tips:

    • Each mind map can only have one center. Yes, you can insert floating topics, but nevertheless, each mind map can have only one true center node.
    • You can adjust the color of the lines anytime, even on the floating topic. To change a line, click on the topic or the subtopic and change the color in the menu.
    • You can also change the direction of the lines. Simply click on a topic, and disable "auto align". Now you can drag the topic to anywhere on the canvas

    I hope that helps.
