Hello,

please see two issues, documented by the screenshot, that I am constantly confronted with when I work with MindMaster:

  • text is overlaid by another text
  • a remark stays at the screen and doesn't go away.

Thanks for your help,

Tim

    Hallo @Tim Huefner ,

I am sorry to see that you are dealing with the overlapping of text. I can see that you are using two different layouts in one mind map. Unfortunately, adding multiple layouts to your map may cause certain topics to overlap.

You can easily fix this by turning of "auto align" and dragging the branches away from each other.

    I hope that helps.

    Hi,

thanks for your answer which at least contains a reason (while the software should also work with the two different layouts).

However, it doesn't really help since tiurning off the "auto align" function creates a different line to the other one (hence breaks the design totally). See screenshot attached.

Also, there is another issue/bug: the fact that the pop-up sign ("Ausblenden", in engl. "Hide") doesn't go away when you want to hide or un-hide anything (only goes away when one refreshes the site). Do you have any tips/solutions for this?

    Best, Tim

    Hi Tim,

yes, I agree, if you turn off auto align, then you may have to reorganize the mind map quite a bit. MindMeister has evaluated whether to turn off the feature of mixed layout to avoid the overlapping of text, but there is quite a large user base who love this feature, so despite the overlap we did not turn it off.

I am sorry to hear about the "Ausblenden" issue, I would also recommend refreshing the webpage which you already figured out.

Thanks for your response. At leats I have some clarity in understanding the iusse and that unfortunately there is no solution and work-around.

I guess MindMeister should have plans to reconcile both problems that are certainly annoying not only to me.

    Regards, Tim
