Bulk task creation
As a Meister Task project administrator, I often create tasks for groups of users so that they can track progress on the tasks individually. Currently I need to create the task, assign it to no one. Duplicate it for each individual, and then assign each duplicated tasks one at a time.
[An efficient way to do this would be to allow the assignment of a task to a group. It would need to be clear to the user whether assigning a task to a group meant 1) there was one task that any group member could see/edit according to their permissions versus 2) multiple tasks would be created with each assigned to each individual member of the group. Option 2 is the desired behavior.]
Hello @wcaswell welcome to the community!
I believe you could benefit from the insightful readings provided by our friend @Michael Heil in the following two links:

Hi @wcaswell, thanks for excellent suggestion!
I wanted to jump in and let you know about a feature which can let you create a large number of tasks in bulk, even if it doesn't quite meet the full requirements of your use case.
You can bulk create tasks by pasting a list (created in a word processor) into a MeisterTask project. Each item in your list will then become a different task:
I hope this helps you with bulk task creation!
Didn‘t know that!😱 Thank you @Andrew Lapidus for sharing! You made my day with this! 🥳
The impossible does not exist! The solution has just not been found yet!2

Fantastic, @Andrew Lapidus , how could that one pass unnoticed until now? At first reading, it triggers at least three new ideas.
And two corresponding questions, if I may:
- Does adding multiple tasks also work via an Email-list?
- Can I create tasks with more than task-name, e.g. include a Note/comment/description and/or other attributes with a single line of a list? (like via smartadd in RTM)
Thanks a lot for this one!👍️4
