Why does MindMeister crash when I create large-volume mind maps?

When I create large-volume smartcads, the system loads for a long time and crashes. Is this a problem with MindMeister? Or my network?

    Hey @SharipovaAF@peton.ru and welcome!

MindMeister should be able to handle incredibly big maps without crashing (and a large volume of different maps). We've tested accounts with 100s of maps and it's always been fine.

Are you using your phone or laptop?

You could try some basic phone/laptop troubleshooting such as restarting the phone/ laptop, clearing cookies, cache, history, reinstalling the app etc., updating app/ operating system.

If you have an android, this post might also help or be explaining the same experience?

Let me know if this keeps happening!

    Best,

    Miša

Thank you for your answer. I have problems when I use the web version of MindMeister (on the PC). But there are no problems when I use "Safari" on iPad.

    Hi!

Thanks for the info. This may have something to do with the PC if it is an older model or not very powerful. You could try using a different browser in your PC?

Alternatively, you can split big maps into smaller ones.

I tried to work on another PC and used other brousers (Opera, Mozila firefox, google chrome), but the situation has not changed.

I recorded a video with processor usage. For some reason, the mindmeister uses only one core

    Hi,
I'm on a MacBook Pro running an i5 processor (and I also use another MacBook Pro with an i7 processor) and on both computers my mind maps freeze when using the web version of mindmeister. I do not have this problem on the mindmeister app when used with my iPhone 12 mini or my iPad Air M2. However if I attempt to view the maps on my phone or iPad via safari, it also freezes.

Unfortunately this makes mindmeister of extremely limited use to me, and so I am considering cancelling my subscription. If the solution I'm given is to make my mind maps smaller, that is not a solution in my opinion. If I have to go through that extra task (which requires multiple steps only necessary due to what appears to be software issues on mindmeister's end, not hardware issues on my end) then I will def have to find another platform, as paying for mindmaps that have limitations of that kind defeats the purpose of the subscription for me. I suppose it could be that both my computers have Intel processors, and perhaps the M processors would not have this problem, but I somehow doubt that's the issue since it happens when I run the maps through the mindmeister website.

Is there a fix for this? Is there a Mac desktop app coming? I will say that even on my iPhone and iPad Air M2 I cannot look at my maps via Safari, but must use the app, which is why I am assuming the issue is with the website, not with my hardware.

Thanks so much, I hope we can fix this cause I really appreciate the ease of use on my phone and iPad but if I want to integrate collaborators and link with MeisterTask I have to be able to use my laptop via the web, not just my phone and iPad that use the app.

Changing to Chrome does not fix the issue btw.
