💝 The Meister Community: A Year in Review

Today, we'd like to present The Community: A Year in Review. Although the Community is only four months young, we've already seen some really inspiring contributions we'd like to reflect on. So let's look back at the key moments of 2022 together:

👩‍🏫 The first Community-sourced MeisterHack: Building your Mind Map from a YouTube Video

This MeisterHack was shared by @Philippe Boukobza at the beginning of September. Complete with a screenshot and link to an example mind map, this tip got a load of positive reactions and inspired a brilliant discussion in the comments 🧐!

P.S. Well done also to @Tatiana Torres who came in close 2nd with her MeisterHack on using focus mode for presentations in MindMeister!

💡 The most upvoted idea: Subtasks

We love your feature ideas and we love advocating for their implementation. We've already seen some amazing requests our team has taken on board: MeisterTask templates are now on the roadmap for Q1, and pasting topic styles in MindMeister has already been implemented.

However, the most upvoted idea we have in the Community is MeisterTask subtasks. Not only is this one of the most upvoted feature ideas with 26 upvotes, but our team liked it so much that it's now on the roadmap for Q1! Shoutout to @Andres D'Andrea and @Michael Heil for the insightful discussion about why we need subtasks in the thread - this is what the Community is all about 🙌.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 The top networking discussion: Mind Mapping for Education

This discussion started by @learninglab@hope.ac.uk is one of the most valuable networking pieces in the Community to date. David reached out to find other educators using mind mapping - It turns out we have many among us, and the potential for some collaborative international mind mapping is on the horizon 🌅! Establishing a network of educators makes it much easier to share tips, experiences and templates with a relevant group in a single thread - If you're a teacher, you know where to head!

🤩 The most discussed use case: Presenting your Master's Thesis with MindMeister

Thank you @Tatiana Torres for your wonderful MindMeister template. This template shows how MindMeister can be used even for the most important presentations 👩‍🎓. (We'd also like to congratulate her on the academic achievement!)

Thanks also to @Cathy Fanning and @Andres D'Andrea for sharing some fascinating and highly creative templates for Sales, Onboarding and Meetings.

🎭 The post with the most reactions: Creating a French-Speaking MeisterTask Community

@Agileric's discussion introducing himself to the Community and suggesting the creation of a French group or category got 29 reactions. An interesting discussion evolved below exploring how we can get more French people in the Community 🇫🇷. The outcome? We added French to the list of available languages in the Community! We love this post because it shows how we can grow the Community together in the very direction our Community wants to grow 💝.
