Meet the Community - Introduce Yourself! 🤝

I am a retired administrative judge who lives in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia. Since I was a young man, I have been on a lifetime quest for the perfect productivity tool. I started with paper systems like Daytimer and Filofax, then tried almost every digital tool I could find. But nothing really satisfied me. In the mid-'00s, I discovered mind mapping and purchased software, again trying several different products.

My early frustration was that I couldn't mind map at work because, Federal employees can't just load their own software onto government computers. That all changed in 2016 when I attended Biggerplate Unplugged, Biggerplate's mind mapping conference in New York. It was a fabulous conference with some of the most accomplished mind mappers in the United States presenting. I also met Liam and Graham Hughes, the founders of Biggerplate, and probably the most knowledgeable mind mappers alive today.

Most important from the perspective of this Community, I learned about MindMeister. Upon learning that it was web-based and could be used on both smart phones and tablets, I became a subscriber and, for the first time, was able to use mind mapping for work, for presentations, and all of my personal productivity needs through use of a dashboard mind map since MindMeister could be used anywhere with Internet access and does not require software.

I began using mind mapping for brainstorming, analyzing complex legal issues, for case management, alternative dispute resolution, and a number of other things. I started presenting webinars for Biggerplate and have presented both virtual and in-person sessions on mind mapping at legal conferences.

Mind mapping is a very important part of my life now, even in retirement, and it is hard to believe that I have been a mind mapper for less than 15 years.

Ich schreibe diesen Einführungsbeitrag mit großer Freude. Ich lebe und arbeite in Wien. Ich bin die Leiterin des Coworking Space Wien. Die Schaffung eines komfortablen und produktiven Arbeitsplatzes ist meine Hauptaufgabe. MeisterTask und MeisterNote sind meine Assistenten bei der Organisation der Arbeit und der Präsentation von Zielen.

Ich bin auch ein Fan der Wintererholung. Ich kann mir mein Leben ohne Skifahren in den verschneiten Alpen nicht vorstellen.

Ich habe zwei Hunde und eine Katze. Ich möchte motivierte und interessante Menschen kennenlernen, die diese Community verbindet.
